On your device

PhotoFind uses the photos you authorize to create a local search index, including image embeddings, recognized screenshot text, color information and photo identifiers. Photo location metadata may be used for local location search. Search text, recent searches, settings and indexes remain on your device. We do not operate a server that receives your photos, search queries or indexes, and do not include advertising or third-party analytics.

Network access

The first use downloads an AI model hosted by Apple. Photos stored only in iCloud may be downloaded by Apple's Photos services when you choose to access them or enable that indexing option. These requests are governed by Apple's services and privacy policy. Browsing this support website uses GitHub Pages, whose hosting service may process ordinary request information such as IP addresses.

Your choices

You can grant full or limited photo access, or revoke access in iOS Settings. Photo deletion requires confirmation and changes the system photo library, including its iCloud synchronization where enabled; recovery is managed in Photos > Recently Deleted. Sharing is initiated by you and sends the selected content to the destination you choose. Clear recent searches and manage indexes in the app. Removing the app removes its app-local data; it does not delete your photo library.

Diagnostics and contact

Apple may provide crash or diagnostic information according to your Apple settings. If you contact us through GitHub Issues, the information you post is public. Do not post personal photos or sensitive information. Contact support. Changes to this policy will be published here.
